Michelle Kwan

Unquestionably regarded as one of the finest figure skaters in history, Michelle Kwan was celebrated for her unparalleled artistry and unwavering consistency. Even now, Kwan remains not only among America’s most beloved skaters but also stands as one of the nation’s most cherished female athletes. Engaging in the senior level for over a decade, Kwan secured her place as the most decorated figure skater in U.S. history. Throughout her illustrious journey, she captured five World Championships (1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003), nine world medals, and an impressive tally of nine U.S. Championships (1996, 1998-2005). In Olympic competition, her feats included a memorable silver in 1998 and a bronze in 2002.

A setback preventing her participation in the 2006 Olympics led Kwan to retire from skating, channeling her energy into academic pursuits and graduate school. The fans were treated to a return to the ice in 2009 when Kwan performed with Ice All Stars, marking her first appearance in many years.
